It is an important variety of synthetic fibers, also known as polyester fibers. The biggest feature is that it has good wrinkle resistance and shape retention. The fabric woven from ordinary polyester filaments has the advantages of good strength, refreshing and crisp, easy to wash and quick-drying, but has the disadvantages of hard hand feeling, poor hand feeling, not soft gloss, poor air permeability, and poor moisture absorption. Polyester can be divided into staple fibers, drawn yarns, textured yarns, decorative yarns, industrial yarns and various differentiated fibers.
Is polyester the worst fabric?
Not bad.
Polyester properties are:
1. High strength. The short fiber strength is 2.6~5.7cN/dtex, and the high-strength fiber is 5.6~8.0cN/dtex. Due to its low moisture absorption, its wet strength and dry strength are basically the same, and its impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than viscose fiber.
2. Good flexibility. The elasticity is close to that of wool, and it can be almost completely restored when stretched from 5% to 6%. The wrinkle resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle and has good dimensional stability. The modulus of elasticity is 22~141cN/dtex, which is 2~3 times that of nylon.
3. Good heat resistance.
